January Breaker – 2010 promises a revived economy and renewed opportunities for the special events industry. Join us Wednesday, January 20 to re-connect with your ISES DC pals and make new connections with special events pros at one of DC’s truly unique restaurants. Oh, and guess what…it will be a PAAARTY!

Journey down the “Silk Road” of Mie N Yu’s unique and exotic ambiance at the ISES DC January Breaker. Kick back on lush pillows, sip on a “Green Dragon” cocktail and listen to the cool vibes of live music amped up by the DJ’s thumping beats; while the belly dancer’s smooth moves inspire you this new year.

A stunning addition to DC’s dining scene, Mie N Yu offers a global menu complemented by a commitment to graciously impeccable service. Dining areas reflect its international flavor: a colorful Moroccan Bazaar, exotic Tibetan Lounge, the richly appointed Red Baroque dining room, a Turkish Tent and a classic English bar dramatically influenced by Hong Kong’s international cutting edge allure.

October 6 at the Harman Center for the Arts – It’s just lunch…And then some!

ISES DC Presents

It’s Just Lunch…
And then some!

Tuesday, October 6, 2009
11:30am – 2:00pm

To eat or not to eat…there is no question you’ll want to join us at the Harman Center for the Arts for ISES DC’s October Luncheon on Tuesday, October 6.

The Harman Center for the Arts is a 21st-century performing arts center and expanded stage for the Shakespeare Theatre Company and Washington’s performing arts community featuring truly special event space. The new theatre, designed to address The Shakespeare Theatre’s expanded programming mission, will allow for a wide variety of staging configurations – proscenium, thrust, semi-arena or bare – as well as for the presentation of dance and music events. Acoustically, the space has been rendered for the spoken word, and also can be easily adapted for chamber music as well as live, amplified or recorded music.

Click here to check it out.

During lunch, you’ll hear from both a planner and a vendor’s perspective about successful partnering strategies for financially effective gala events for non-profits!
