June Ring — President
Classic Design Events
Currently President of the Greater Washington DC Chapter of ISES. She has held the Board positions of President Elect, VP of Membership, Co-Chair of the 2007 Northeast Regional Conference and two years as Front Desk Director. In 2002 she was awarded Volunteer of the Year. June is President of Classic Design Events, Inc. As an Event Planner, she has created, developed and executed successful events with corporate, government, non-profit and social organizations over the past 26 years. June enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, reading and running.

Denise Thorne– President Elect
Instyle Caterers
Denise Thorne has been a member of the Greater Washington DC Chapter of ISES since 1998. Denise recognized the need to become involved and so began volunteering almost immediately wherever needed, but joined the board in 2004 as Job Bank / Volunteer Director and has since held various positions and served on various committees. She was awarded Volunteer of The Year in 2008. Denise is co-owner of InStyle Caterers a boutique style full service catering company located in Maryland. She also is on the Advisory Board of the Culinary & Hospitality Department at Prince George’s Community College, is a member of the Prince George’s Chamber Of Commerce Hospitality Committee and is an adjunct Professor at Prince George’s College. Denise’s experience for the last nineteen years plus as a caterer includes banquet services for as many as eighteen hundred guests, catering for corporate executive functions, weddings, birthdays, bar/ bat mitzvahs etc. Other events include black tie affairs, fundraisers, foreign embassy parties and even company picnics. Denise has directed functions at such locations as Corcoran Gallery Of Art, OAS, Library Of Congress, The Smithsonian, Women’s Museum, Newton White Mansion and other historic locations. Denise lives with her husband and two daughters in Upper Marlboro MD.

Renee Stake — Immediate Past President
GEP Washington
Renee has been an ISES board member since 2003, having served as President, President-Elect, Secretary, Vice President of Programs and co-Chair of the 2007 Northeast REC. Renee is a Senior Account Executive at GEP Washington and works with clients coming to the DC area to provide top-notch destination management services. She holds a BA degree in Advertising from the University of Maryland at College Park and a Master’s of Science in Marketing from Johns Hopkins University. She enjoys reading, hitting the beach, shopping and cheering on her Maryland Terps!

Amy Lorraine Guthridge — Vice President of Education & Programs
Engaging Affairs, Inc.
Amy Lorraine Guthridge, CPCE, is an experienced event planner having planned and executed several events, in both the corporate and social markets, for up to 1,300 guests over the last 4 years. She holds a BA in Communication from the University of Maryland at College Park and has also studied under the Event Management Certificate Program at George Washington University. Amy is currently with Engaging Affairs, Inc. and is also a volunteer for The March of Dimes.

Alain Ikombo — Vice President, Marketing & Communications
Atlantic Valet
Alain Ikombo joined Atlantic Valet in 1992. Over the years he worked his way up the ranks to his current position as Vice President. He has provided valet parking, transportation and logistical support for a range of events, including fundraisers, Inaugural balls, corporate and private parties as well as major golf and tennis tournaments. Alain has been a member of ISES since 2004, and in 2008 he served on the Gala Sponsorship Committee.

Dave Fritz — Vice President, Membership
CORT Event Furnishings
An active ISES Member since 2006, Dave joins our DC ISES Board as Director of Membership. As a Cort Event Furnishings Account Executive, he helps clients create memorable events with event furnishings designed to accentuate and enhance the event experience. Cort Event Furnishings is proud winner of the current “ Rental Company of the Year” Events Solutions Spotlight Award. Dave has over 10 years of experience in the event industry, and holds a History Degree from the University of Delaware, and a graduate TESOL Certificate from William Carey University. Dave lives in Ellicott City, MD. with his wife, Allison, and two children.

Sarah Denhardt — Education Director
Woolly Mammoth Theatre Company
Sarah joined ISES DC in 2007 and served as Breakers Chair for 2008-09. Sarah is currently the Special Events Director at Woolly Mammoth Theatre Company. She also teaches the Festivals and Special Events course in George Mason University’s Master of Arts Management program. She completed her BA at William and Mary, her MFA in theatre directing at Catholic University, and the Event Management Certificate at George Washington University.

Dave Markowitz — Membership Director

David has over 23 years in the hospitality industry being involved at every level from event planning and club managing to booking agent, kitchen chef and bartending. He is a certified TIPS trainer for responsible beverage service. David joined ISES in the fall of 2006 and quickly became involved with the membership committee. In the fall of 2007 David accepted his current position on the Board of Directors.

Amy Regeti – Newsletter Director

Amy Regeti founder and co-owner of Regeti’s Photography, a full-service boutique style photography studio has spent the last 5 years alongside her husband and business partner establishing a well known brand through their “4 Keys to Success” speaking platform within their industry. Being published internationally as “Innovators”. She is noticed for her unique ability to differentiate her company’s brand and style within the special events industry. It is with great pride that Amy Regeti is part of ISES, actively participating within ISES earning her the “2009 Best Social Photography Award” on the anniversary of her company’s one year of membership within DC ISES.
With her accepted position as “Director of Newsletter” she brings to the board a vision of innovation, modernization and cultivation that is sure to inspire every member within the organization.

Kristin Wienold — Public Relations Director
EDPi (Event Digital Photography, Inc)
Kristin has been a member of ISES since 2007 and was the Public Relations Chair for the DC Chapter during the 2008-2009 year. She has been in the event industry for nearly 20 years and has been a professional photographer for over 12 years. Kristin is the Director of Sales and Marketing for Event Digital Photography, Inc. and after completing her undergrad studies in Kinesiology and Business Communication, graduated from Regis University in 2008 with and MBA specializing in Marketing and PR. Kristin lives in Annapolis, Maryland with her husband, Matthew, and their two dogs.

Barbara McCort — Sponsorships Director
Feats, Inc.
Barbara is the Executive Producer at Feats, Inc., a nationally recognized leader in creating events, environments and live experiences. During her tenure there she has planned a number of multi- city tour events that included international locations, as well as, orchestrated the openings of several museums throughout the country. Her particular area of expertise surrounds large-scale, multi-faceted event programs for institutions. She has had an active role as an ISES member for several years, and joins the board this year. Barbara was also one of five national nominees for Event Solutions Magazine Producer of the Year, 2005.

Angela Lee — Volunteer Director
Amazing Affairs LLC
Angela became a member of ISES in 2004 while a student in the GW Event Management Certificate Program. Since joining ISES she has served as Volunteer Coordinator for the Expo, REC Room co-chair, Co-chair for Silent Auction, Gala Volunteer and Front Desk Committee member. She received the Greater Washington DC Chapter of ISES Rising Star Award in 2007. Angela works full-time for the DC Housing Authority where she is able to use her degrees in social work and her love of event planning to organize and execute a myriad of events to benefit low-income families living in public and assisted housing in DC. Angela is owner of Amazing Affairs LLC, a full service event management company serving DC/MD/VA.
